Patrick Sia is currently with Business Excellence, one of the engineering firms since 2003. He manage and mentors internal quality auditors and shadowed them in their audits to improve their auditing competency. Moving forward towards organisational excellence, he has been helping in identifying gaps and improving various processes and systems within the organisation. He has consistently been an excellent performer; an energetic and enthusiastic colleague who is always forthcoming and helpful with ideas and initiatives.
At national level, Patrick Sia has been a MINDEF Excellence Award (MEA) Assessor since 2000 and was elevated to a Lead Assessor four years later, leading team of MINDEF assessors for the MEA. He represents SPRING Singapore as a Business Excellence (BE) Senior National Assessor leading more than 20 organisations for various BE certifications and awards.
In addition, he also represents Agencies of the national GEMS Up movement and Ministry of Social and Family Development as one of the lead assessors for the Singapore Service Excellence Medallion Award and Business for Family Award respectively.In 2014, Patrick Sia was invited to participate by Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) as a judge for The Singapore HR Awards 2014 and 2015. Patrick Sia is also an ACTA certified trainer under the national Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) programs. The topics shared ranged from his professional area (Business Excellence, Service Excellence, ISO and Quality Process audits) to his hobbies (i.e. online businesses, magic, and others). With these experiences, he has helped different organisations and MINDEF units strengthen their management systems and processes for high performance. This includes HR related areas such as HR planning, staff engagement, staff learning and development, staff well-being and satisfaction, and staff reward and recognition systems. In this respect, he has been recognized by SPRING Singapore and Singapore Productivity Association and his peers with a capacity for higher responsibilities and greater challenges.
